Monday morning as I walked my girls across the field to drop-off at the blacktop, I smiled - SUPER BIG. Our temporary art installation, "Flower Celebration", was a joy to see. My heart felt lighter for the first time in a while. Our teachers have felt the same this week. Our Flower Celebration is a visual reminder of the community spirit and support that has surrounded our school during this challenging time. While simple, it is an incredibly symbolic gesture.
Thank you to the many students who made these gorgeous flowers during their lunchtime. Please try to visit our Flower Celebration. It really is beautiful - and we're not sure how long it'll last!
It was wonderful seeing so many of you at Ms. Jepsen’s memorial service. A very heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to this special event. To Laura Amen, Dana Lung and Lindsay Thomasson, thank you for managing every last detail to perfection. Thank you to the students, parents and staff who spoke so elegantly in memory of Ms. Jepsen during the service. Thank you to the many current and former students who greeted guests with dignity and compassion. Thank you to our parent volunteers who kept the event quietly in order from behind the scenes. We were extremely grateful for the donations of food, drinks and flowers from our generous community. And, thank you to our students, teachers and parents who tendered the garden in the days prior so was clean and pristine for the event.
On behalf of the HPC, I hope you enjoyed the afternoon’s celebration and found a moment to reflect on Ms. Jepsen's wonderful life and her amazing contributions to our Havens' community.
Donations for Ms. Jepsen’s family will be collected through Friday, October 25th.
