HAVENS PARENTS CLUB (HPC)

I was thrilled Measure H passed with overwhelmingly strong community support. Thank you to everyone who voted for such a critically important injection of funds for our schools and, specifically, our awesome teachers! It’s really great news and we are so lucky to live in a community where we come together to support our schools, our teachers and our students.

To hear about how these funds will be allocated and what it means for your child’s education, please come to our next HPC Members Meeting on Friday, November 15 at 8:30am (Havens library). Andrea Swenson, our Board of Education Representative, is presenting and will be able to answer all your questions.

I hope you plan to visit our first book fair of the year! Held next Tuesday through Wednesday, this is a great opportunity to stock up on books for Thanksgiving travel and buy gifts for the holiday season. Don’t forget to purchase a book for your child’s classroom. Your teacher’s wish list will be at the table across from the register. It’s a perfect holiday gift for the classroom :)
