Our last Members Meeting for 2019 is one of our most informative and exciting! Please join us THIS FRIDAY (11/15) at 8:30am in the library to hear preliminary plans for how the injection of funds raised by Measure H will directly affect your child’s education. Andrea Swenson, our Board of Education Representative, is presenting and will be able to address your questions.

As the Holiday Season is upon us, I hope you’ll share the Havens’ spirit of giving to those less fortunate. As a community, we have many opportunities to be charitable. One of our favorite, annual traditions is the beloved Havens Winter Festival (Ellen Driscoll Auditorium, Friday December 6, 3:30-5:30pm). Our Winter Festival is a charitable event where students and parents come together to help others. Join us to make much-needed, personal care-packages for the homeless, bring in a warm sock donation for those in need and join in some fun holiday crafts. It’s a wonderful introduction for our children to begin appreciating the need for giving. It’s for all ages and a lovely way to connect with our school community during this busy time of year.

And, of course, I hope to see you this afternoon at the Book Fair. I’ll be the one juggling a pile of books, darting between the teacher donation table and trying not trying to lose my space in the cashier’s line, while scribbling down a list of holiday Scrip cards to purchase and trying wrangle overly-excited children! Ahhh … the let the Holiday Season begin ;)
