Hello Havens!
Tonight, there is a PUSD School Board Meeting at 7:00pm.
Included on the agenda are the social-emotional health screener results and a second-reading of a vaccine mandate for eligible students, which may soon be relevant to and impact elementary aged-children.
Friday, there is an online HPC Meeting at 8:45am.
Please note, on the school calendar the start time may be listed as 8:30am, but we will wait to start the meeting until 8:45am to allow time to get to a screen after drop-off.
Anne Dolid will join and we plan to discuss AQI, traffic safety, an upcoming HPC-organized parent ed night focused around managing anxiety in our children and ourselves, fundraising, and relevant committee updates.

We are working with our tri-school partners to try and assess parents' needs for creating a before-school on-campus childcare solution.
If you are a parent that would potentially be interested in before-school care, please take a moment and fill out the survey (link in title) at your earliest convenience.
Shoo the Flu (on your own) this year
Please consider getting your child’s flu shot early in the season.
Shoo the Flu, an Alameda County Public Health program, has in previous years offered flu shots available on campus. However, this year, they will not be offering this program.
Please work with your local provider/pharmacist to get your student’s flu shot.
A few reminders:
There is a strong need for substitute teachers. Do you know of a retired grandparent or friend with a lapsed teaching credential? It can be easy to get back to it (and on campus!). If you’d like to become a substitute teacher, it’s a fairly straightforward paperwork process, but it does take a bit of time, so start today and enjoy lunch with your kid(s) on campus by early spring!
Students are encouraged to wear Havens gear or the color purple on Fridays going forward. Yay Havens!
