Spring Fling (K-5 Elementary schools)
Spring Fling is an annual celebration of Piedmont's three elementary schools that brings together our entire community in support of our children's education. Spring Fling is one of Piedmont Education Foundation's largest fundraisers and the money raised goes directly to the schools. We know how important it is to educate the whole child and since state funding alone cannot do that, we band together to ensure that all Piedmont students continue to have strong programs in science, technology, math, music, visual art, library, social-emotional learning, and more.
Spring Fling includes several fundraising projects and events: the Comings and Goings photography project, Camp Auction, Golf and Tennis Tournament, Parent Parties, Grandparent Party, Online Auction and the annual Spring Fling Gala that includes a silent auction, live auction, and a raise-the-paddle event to fund a specific tri-school need.
In order for Spring Fling to be a true success, we need 100% participation from parents. Please be on the lookout for the many opportunities during the year to give time, talent, and/or treasure by volunteering, donating/purchasing auction items, and simply by attending the spring gala. We hope you will consider ways in which you can contribute to our amazing community.
Registration is now open for HPC’s Summer Read-a-Thon! Participating in the Read-a-Thon is a great way to support our school and encourage students to read throughout the summer! Please help the Havens Parents Club raise as much as we can to purchase materials, technology or other needs identified by Havens staff during the 2021-22 school year.
Registration is open and the event will run from June 11 - August 16. Participants will use PledgeStar, an online fundraising platform, to track their reading and send personalized fundraising requests to family and friends. Donations can be made via secure credit card payment, PayPal or checks and parents can track their students’ progress and pledges online.
Prizes will be awarded to participants with the highest fundraising and reading totals: 1st place: Kindle Kids Edition, 2nd place: $25 Mulberry’s gift card, 3rd place: $10 Mulberry’s gift card. The grade with the highest fundraising total will also earn a popsicle party!

What is Scrip?
In short, we buy gift cards at a discount and sell them at face value. The generous vendors who supply the cards make the donation for you! By harnessing the purchasing power of what parents and community members already spend, the Scrip program raises $50,000 for the Piedmont schools annually, but with your participation it could be significantly more!
The majority of the money raised comes from the sale of gift cards and paper scrip. However, we have new buy-it-yourself options for electronic scrip and reload. You don’t even have to write a check!
Monthly gift cards can be delivered to your doorstep for vendors that you frequently use. No extra time needed, just set up a recurring bill pay through your bank and at the start of the month, the gift cards are delivered to you.
