ASE classes are always popular with the kids!  The ASE program is run by parent volunteers and offers a wide variety of fun and engaging class. Past favorite include chess, basketball, beginning guitar, creative writing and topology.  Fall enrollment opens Monday, August 10th and classes Monday, September 13th.

Science Class


Schoolmates is a fee-based program that provides before and after school child care for elementary school aged children (grades TK - 5) during the academic school year and full day care during the summer and vacation periods. Schoolmates classrooms are located at each of the three elementary schools in Piedmont: Beach, Havens and Wildwood. A licensing packet is required to enroll into the Schoolmates program.

Each month there will be an open enrollment period online for new families via CommunityPass.

School Year Hours:

Schoolmates: Monday–Friday from 2:00–6:00 pm

Minimates (TK Students): Monday–Friday

AM TK Students: 11:45 am–3:00 pm (2:00 pm on Wednesdays) 

PM TK Students: 8:30–11:45 am (10:20 am on Wednesdays)

Piedmont Language School is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded 40+ years ago by Piedmont parents. We offer classes in Spanish and Mandarin to children TK thru 6th grade before and after their school day. We have approximately 250 students per year learning languages and discovering cultures through our programs.

In addition to our self-funding classes, we manage a community fund to support world language instruction in Piedmont schools. With your help, we can continue to provide grants to our teachers for professional development and classroom enrichment.

In addition to Schoolmates, Piedmont Recreation Department offers a wide variety of interesting classes after school and during school vacations.    Programs are offered to all age groups. Major services include: Fee-based classes, sports programs, schoolmates, cultural arts, and special evening and holiday activities.
