SERVES (Student Engagement, Responsibility and Volunteerism in our Elementary Schools) is a Tri-School parent-run organization serving Havens, Beach and Wildwood. We support PUSD's goals including building community and cultivating a global citizenry. We look forward to continuing to support Piedmont and the larger community by hosting community service-oriented events, drives and other activities. Past opportunities (prior to and/or during COVID when we went virtual) include
* Weekend Events: beach and park clean-ups, holiday and game days with senior citizens at Grand Lake Gardens Senior Living Community, Family Night at Alameda County Community Food Bank

* Drives: Read-a-thons benefiting libraries of school districts devastated by California wildfires, Food Drives benefiting Alameda County Community Food Bank, Book Drives benefiting OUSD schools

* Winter Festival: community service activities including crazy socks, toiletry and holiday kit making, card making

* Virtual (during COVID): Students and Seniors Share Stories, card making for senior citizens at Grand Lake Gardens Senior Living Community, Virtual Winter Festival
To celebrate the new school year, we are hosting a BACK TO SCHOOL EVENT to support OUSD and SFUSD students in need. Please consider donating. $100 gives a student a new backpack filled with supplies AND a gift card to pick out new clothing. $50 gives a student a new backpack filled with supplies or a gift card.
Or consider supporting SERVES throughout the school year with a GENERAL SUPPORT donation (a portion of your GENERAL SUPPORT donation may support the BACK TO SCHOOL EVENT). Any amount is much appreciated.
