Get involved!  There are many way to get involved.  HPC is run entirely by parent volunteers and is responsible for sending out important communications, organizing parent volunteers, providing essential student services, and raising valuable funds to support our children’s school experience.  There are many ways to get involved, and whatever your interest, skill or availability there is a place for you.

During the school year, volunteers will be needed for events such as hearing and vision screening and picture day; be on the look out for volunteer requests via Board communication and Havens Highlights.  You can also help in the classroom as teachers will need volunteers in the classroom and drivers on field trips (once parents are allowed in the classroom).  There are lots of ways to volunteer and we are so grateful for your time and energy.  


Currently, the only on campus volunteer opportunity!  It's really fun to see to your kids in action.  Highly recommend!


Our school lunch program is parent volunteer operated.  This year we need 1 volunteer each day to help our amazing Health Clerk Kristen Huey serve lunch.  The shift is 11:30-12:45.  We are happy to have 2 volunteers per day, if you still prefer to serve lunch with a friend.  Parents, grandparents, and caregivers are all welcome to volunteer, and you may also bring a younger child with you so that you do not need to find childcare to participate.  Lunch volunteering is currently the only opportunity parents have to be on campus.  It is also super fun and a great way to get to know the kids at school!  Please sign up HERE.

The Bookkeeper role is new this year and this position will work with the Treasurer.  The Bookkeeper will help with developing the budget, make deposits, send reimbursements, etc. and the Treasurer will manage Quickbooks. If you are interested in the Bookkeeper position, please email havensparentboard@gmail.com or sign up here.


This committee organizes such events as Teacher Appreciation Week, Back to School Coffee and Board changeover brunch as well as coordinates the teacher and staff appreciation gifts.  It's a fun and social committee!  If you are interested in joining the Hospitality Committee, please email havensparentboard@gmail.com or sign up here.


Havens Library relies on all our wonderful volunteers. Currently, volunteers are not allowed in the library while the children are present but volunteers can help during the off hours. If you are interested in supporting the library, please contact our school's librarian, Laura Remer at lremer@piedmont.k12.ca.us
